Thanks to everyone who stopped by to shop at Paws and Tails Too (and meet GIO) during our spring round of National Specialties. We made a LOT of new friends and got to catch up with a lot of old friends…good times. Now we are home for a bit, but there is no rest for the wicked (as they say) as we are gearing up to have booths at the All-Breed Anoka/Cambridge shows in Cambridge, MN on June 23-26th and the Duluth, MN shows in July!
April blew by and I sure enjoyed presenting the Paws and Tails Too booth to the Great Pyrenees, Japanese Chin and Newfoundland fanciers at their respective National Specialties. Delightful people and amazing dogs. Each breed had such dedicated people who adore their dogs. It was especially fun to watch the various breeds DO what they were bred to DO.
Now I am here in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky at the Boxer Nationals. The weather is officially summer and to this Minnesotan it looks odd to see everyone in shorts! Next is Dachshunds back in Oconomowoc, WI and then HOME!
Little Gio has been a trooper. He stays at the booth greeting customers or sleeping under the table.
The road trip of 2011 begins tomorrow! I am hitting the road with Gio as my co-pilot (sounds like a bumper magnet) early in the am for Okonomowoc, WI. There from Wednesday through Friday I will be enjoying the company of the Great Pyrenees Club of America members and their dogs. This breed is near and dear to my heart, thanks to my own Zoe. Talk about smart, independent dogs! I swore I would never have a dog bigger than me or smarter than me…well, Zoe is both!
We have lots of bling leads, new collars, and all sorts of other goodies to offer the Pry People. I am looking forward to meeting more new Pyr Friends!
It is official! Paws and Tails Too will be at the Boston Terrier Club of America National specialty in Reno, NV from April 11th-15th. Hope to see you there.

Welcome to Paws and Tails Too! This is exciting…the start of a new business and the return to a passion that has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My little mom, who is still back in Mississippi, tells that some of her friends asked me when I was about four what I wanted to be when I grew up and I said “A dog,” dropped to all fours and went into a point! Yes, that is one of those stories I cringe when she tells, but what can I say? I also love all aspects of retail…shopping, working in retail and helping people find that perfect something that makes their heart sing and their step a little lighter as they walk away, new purchase in hand. Finding sources of amazing products that we know will make you gasp and say, “I gotta have that!” is also so much fun…I truly believe it makes the world a little brighter. More in a bit….just wanted to prime the blogging pump here.
